Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to ensure shelves are stocked, displays are fresh, and customers receive friendly, helpful service. You will help customers find items, share product knowledge, and support operations across multiple departments to maintain a welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities

• Stock from carts or pallets and place items in correct shelf locations using location codes.
• Maintain fresh, full, visually appealing displays.
• Stock and rotate products according to standards.
• Assist customers in finding products and sharing product knowledge.
• Operate technology to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Support other duties across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery as needed.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation procedures.

What You’ll Do

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
