Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to create a fresh, welcoming, and well-run store experience in our Fresh departments.

You will build positive connections with customers and teammates, help customers find products, maintain attractive displays, stock and rotate merchandise, and use technology to complete tasks efficiently while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or grocery environment is a plus.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Comfort using job-specific technology and tools.
• Ability to stay organized and follow processes.

Responsibilities

• Create a fresh, welcoming store experience in Fresh departments.

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.

What You'll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well-run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates

• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
