Job summary

Meijer is hiring an entry-level Stocking Clerk to support daily store operations and ensure shelves are fully stocked for customers. You will learn and apply basic technology, follow organized processes, and collaborate with a team to maintain a clean, efficient workspace.

The role involves stocking, moving products from pallets to shelves, backroom cleanup, and assisting leadership to meet deadlines. Overnight shifts are possible as part of preparing the store for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
• Follow processes and procedures in an organized, efficient way.
• Stay calm and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Enjoy being part of a team and supporting shared goals.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, twist, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back-room areas.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
