Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Stocking Clerk to keep shelves stocked and organized, ensuring a smooth shopping experience for customers.

You will move products from pallets to shelves, maintain back-room cleanliness, and interact with customers as needed. This role includes overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead and requires physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Willing to learn and use basic technology.
• Organized and efficient following processes.
• Able to stay calm and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player who supports shared goals.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back-room areas.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment; work with leadership to complete areas on time.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.
