Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Michigan is seeking a Stocking Clerk to keep shelves stocked and ready for customers. You’ll move products from pallets or carts to correct locations, pull backstock, and help maintain a clean, organized store environment.

Overnight shifts help prepare the store for the day ahead. You should be comfortable handling basic technology, follow processes, and work well in a team. Physical tasks include lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Basic technology skills and ability to follow processes.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back-room areas.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment; provide friendly interactions with customers.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished. What You’ll Do

What You Bring

You're comfortable learning and using basic technology. You follow processes and procedures in an organized, efficient way. You stay calm and productive in a fast-paced environment. You enjoy being part of a team and supporting shared goals. Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus. You have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
