Job summary

Meijer in Illinois is seeking a Stocking Clerk to keep shelves stocked and ready for customers. You will move products from pallets to correct locations, stock aisles, pull backstock, and maintain a clean, safe store environment overnight.

You'll work with leadership to finish areas on time, provide friendly customer service, and participate in a team-focused culture with weekly pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
• Organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work overnight shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back-room areas.
• Work with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time.

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.

What You'll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You'll:

This job has a step pay plan that generally starts between the rates below with raises occurring after predetermined hours worked. The actual rate offered will meet or surpass the legal wage requirement for the job's location.
