Job summary

PillPack, LLC in Virginia is seeking a Pharmacist to join our team focused on accurate dispensing, verification, and patient care across prescription fulfillment from start to finish. You will fill, verify, and package orders and collaborate with staff to ensure QA and compliance.

The role requires a PharmD or BS, active Pharmacist license, knowledge of pharmacy laws, strong communication, and the ability to lift 20 lbs.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the appropriate states.
• Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy regulations.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Warehouse upkeep tasks including lifting 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Verify medication quality assurance for all packet and bulk dispenses.
• Collaborate with staff pharmacists to ensure quality checks before shift end.
• Oversee production relative to new business lines with QA checks.
• Complete housekeeping tasks including returns, rejects, substitutions, and canister approvals.
• Answer clinical questions and provide clinical guidance.
• Investigate errors and coordinate resolution and reporting.
• Communicate pharmacy information to the distribution team.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and laws.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain customer satisfaction.

This role will require hands‑on involvement in the operation, handling tasks ranging from dispensing medications to managing the entire process of prescription fulfillment, ensuring completion from initiation to the final stage. This includes, filling, verifying and packing orders for shipment, in addition to pharmacist verifications.

Role Also Involves

• Management and maintenance of customer profiles in PharmacyOS
• Initial prescription order processing and verification
• Prescription transfer coordination
• New prescription acquisition and processing
• Focus on system-based verification and documentation

Schedules available are

• Sun-Wed 6pm
• Wed-Sat 6pm
• Fri-Mon 6pm
• M/Tu/Th/F 6pm

Key job responsibilities

• Verify medication quality assurance for all packet and bulk dispenses.
• Collaborate with other staff pharmacist to ensure all produced packet and bulk sets undergo a thorough quality assurance check prior to shift end.
• Collaborate with other staff pharmacist to ensure all production relative to new business lines undergoes a thorough quality assurance check prior to shift end.
• Complete ancillary housekeeping pharmacy tasks including checking returns, inputting medication rejects, overseeing medication substitutions, and canister approval.
• Answer clinical questions, provide clinical guidance.
• Investigate errors and facilitate proper resolution and reporting.
• Collate and deliver pertinent pharmacy information to distribution team.
• Ensure compliance with all company procedures, Federal/State laws, rules and regulations.
• Collaborate with other members of the pharmacy team to maintain customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or PharmD Degree
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacist License in West Virginia and others upon request. Additional licenses may be required if domicile state differs from state of employment
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws, federal and state regulations concerning patient care. Exemplary interpersonal communication skills including written and verbal communication.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Warehouse work, including the ability to lift 20lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in LTC or Retail Setting
• Excellent Communication skills

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
