Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Pharmacist to join us in delivering safe and accessible prescription services. The role involves hands-on dispensing, verification, and ensuring end-to-end prescription fulfillment from initiation to shipment, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and patient safety.

Responsibilities include processing prescriptions, maintaining patient profiles, coordinating transfers, QA checks, and collaborating with the pharmacy team to uphold compliance with federal and state laws.

Qualifications

  • Pharmacist license in the state of employment.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and federal/state regulations regarding patient care.
  • Proficiency with Windows desktop environments and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

  • Verify medication quality assurance for all packet and bulk dispenses.
  • Collaborate with other staff pharmacists to ensure QA checks before shift end.
  • Complete ancillary housekeeping pharmacy tasks including returns, rejects, substitutions and canister approvals.
  • Answer clinical questions and provide clinical guidance.
  • Investigate errors and facilitate proper resolution and reporting.
  • Collate and deliver pertinent pharmacy information to the distribution team.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and laws.

This role will require hands-on involvement in the operation, handling tasks ranging from dispensing medications to managing the entire process of prescription fulfillment, ensuring completion from initiation to the final stage. This includes, filling, verifying and packing orders for shipment, in addition to pharmacist verifications.

  • Management and maintenance of customer profiles in PharmacyOS
  • Initial prescription order processing and verification
  • Prescription transfer coordination
  • New prescription acquisition and processing
  • Focus on system-based verification and documentation

Key job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other staff pharmacist to ensure all produced packet and bulk sets undergo a thorough quality assurance check prior to shift end.

  • Complete ancillary housekeeping pharmacy tasks including checking returns, inputting medication rejects, overseeing medication substitutions, and canister approval.
  • Answer clinical questions, provide clinical guidance
  • Investigate errors and facilitate proper resolution and reporting.
  • Collate and deliver pertinent pharmacy information to distribution team.
  • Ensure compliance with all company procedures, Federal/State laws, rules and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other members of the pharmacy team to maintain customer satisfaction.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, or Doctor of Pharmacy in PharmD, or Doctor of Pharmacy
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and federal/state regulations concerning patient care
  • Knowledge of Knowledge of Windows desktop environment and use of Word, Excel, IE, Firefox etc
  • Can have an active and unrestricted pharmacist license in your state of employment (additional licenses may be required)
  • Exemplary interpersonal communication skills including written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions.
  • Warehouse work, including the ability to lift 20lbs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Can show strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in LTC or Retail Setting

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
