Job summary

Long View Systems is seeking an Intermediate Security Operations Centre Analyst to join our Denver or Houston teams in an overnight role. You will monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts in real time, acting as a frontline defender for our clients.

As part of a 24x7 SOC, you’ll work with Sentinel, MS Defender, and other tools, participate in incident response, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams. We value collaboration, ongoing training, and a culture that supports growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in incident detection and response, malware analysis, or cyber forensics.
• SC-200 Certification is required.
• Experience with MS Defender and SIEM platforms (Sentinel, Splunk, Sumo Logic).
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT service management tools.
• Ability to work on an on‑call rotation for 24‑hour support.
• Strong verbal and written communication to explain technical issues to non‑technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in 24x7 operations of the Long View Security Operations Centre.
• Monitor, identify and validate security events from SIEM tools.
• Respond to critical incidents and coordinate with resources to remediate.
• Provide guidance on security event handling and updates to ticketing systems.
• Work with cloud technologies like Azure, AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
