Job summary

Elmira Sleep Disorder Center is seeking a qualified Polysomnography Technologist to perform overnight sleep studies and diagnose sleep disorders in a modern Sleep Disorder Center.

Eligible candidates must have an associate degree or higher in a related field, RPSGT eligibility within 18 months, NYS license, and BLS; ACLS are preferred. The role is direct hire with a $25,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Polysomnography, Respiratory Therapy, or Nursing.
• Must be eligible for or hold RPSGT certification (within 18 months of hire).
• Valid NYS license: Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Technician, or Polysomnographic Technologist.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and apply sensors and electrodes for accurate data capture.
• Administer PSG, MSLT, MWT, PAP titrations, and oxygen studies.
• Monitor equipment and ensure clean, artifact-free signal acquisition.
• Score sleep stages and generate reports for physician interpretation.
• Follow safety, infection control, and QA procedures.
