New Solutions in Elmira, NY seeks a Polysomnography Technologist to perform sleep studies, educate patients, and ensure high-quality data collection. The role requires preparing and calibrating sensors, administering PSG/MSLT/MWT/PAP titrations, and monitoring equipment for artifact-free signals.

You will score sleep stages, generate reports for physicians, and collaborate with the healthcare team. Eligible for RPSGT certification within 18 months, with benefits and sign-on opportunities

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for or hold RPSGT certification within 18 months of hire.
• Associate degree or higher in Polysomnography, Respiratory Therapy, or Nursing.
• Valid NYS license as Respiratory Therapist/Technician or Polysomnographic Technologist.

Responsabilités

• Collect and assess medical, emotional, and social history relevant to testing.
• Educate patients on testing procedures before, during, and after the study.
• Prepare, calibrate, and apply sensors and electrodes to ensure accurate data capture.
• Administer PSG, MSLT, MWT, PAP titrations, oxygen studies and monitor signal quality.
• Score sleep stages and clinical events; generate reports for physician interpretation.

Formation

Associate degree or higher in Polysomnography, Respiratory Therapy, or Nursing

RPSGT certification eligibility

BLS certification within 90 days

ACLS preferred

NYS Respiratory license
