SUMMARY:Provides business office clerical assistance by performing the duties list below.

THIS IS AN OVERNIGHT SHIFT POSITION. 7:30pm-4:00am, schedule includes Sundays.

Hourly rate starting at $17.00 per hour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Ability to perform the following duties along with all other duties as requested by the Director of Distribution.It is the responsibility of each individual at AWG to provide ultimate customer service to our members to support their efforts in increasing same store sales and profits.

  • Answer phone, write, type, or enter information into computer to prepare correspondence, statements, receipts, or other documents, copy information from one record to another.
  • Check in / Check out OTR Drivers.
  • Properly sort and file receiving paperwork.
  • Verify purchase orders versus bills of lading and correct discrepancies
  • Communicate effectively with receiving supervisors.
  • Photocopy documents.
  • Make adjustments in receiving systems to correct discrepancies
  • Monitor the inbound receiving appointments to assure accurate scheduling of inbound product.
  • Assign OTR Drivers to correct receiving door.
  • Properly audit dating information

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Degree or equivalent; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and taste or smell.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to extreme cold.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
