Job summary

Azenta Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technician I, Overnight Sequencing, Part Time 10AM - 3PM EST in Waltham, MA. You will handle Whole Plasmid Sequencing in the Overnight Sequencing department, following SOPs and preparing samples for sequencing machines.

The role requires a high school diploma (Associate/Bachelor preferred) and 1+ years lab experience. Heavy lifting up to 30 lbs and ability to work overtime/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1+ years of laboratory work experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Sort incoming samples and prepare sequencing templates.
• Prepare and purify sequencing templates; load samples onto machines.
• Assist in quality control with minimal errors.
• May work with automation platforms and communicate with customers.
