JOB OVERVIEW:Ensure a safe environment for the hotel staff and guests and protect the assets of the hotel while delivering service that exceeds our guests’ expectations. You will be responsible for responding quickly to guest and staff requests and providing caring interactions with all staff and guests. Efficiently perform functions necessary for the efficient operation of moving, shipping and receiving operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure a safe environment for the hotel staff, guests and visitors, while protecting the assets of the hotel.
- Maintain knowledge of, and execute, all safety and emergency management protocols and procedures.
- Monitor video surveillance system periodically to proactively identify potential disruptions or unlawful acts.
- Issue relays, key fobs, and hard keys for employees.
- Administer lost & found protocols and policies including documentation, filing, and storage.
- Respond to emergency calls and alarms expeditiously.
- Conduct interior and exterior security walkthroughs of hotel property.
- Respond to and administer First Aid to guests, visitors, and staff when needed.
- Report and document via electronic incident report, all guest, visitor, staff, vehicle incidents, damages, accidents, medical situations, and incidents of property damage, and include corresponding CCTV footage.
- Process documents and source CCTV footage as legally required (e.g. incident reports) in a timely manner to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
- Monitor and register vendors entering and exiting the hotel premise.
- Execute all processes & procedures of the company’s shipping and receiving functions, including receiving, signing for and recording all incoming mail and packages.
- Notify/distribute packages, mail, and boxes to individuals or departments.
- Assist with outgoing mail and packages.
- Assist guests with door lock problems, assist with malfunctioning guestroom safes.
- Answer and document guest calls/requests for security assistance.
- Monitor and address guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction with follow up.
- Maintain a professional courteous manner with all guests and fellow employees.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Follow hotel policies, procedures and service standards.
- Fill out and send established shift pass on form and relay pertinent information to the next shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Security
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in security, military, or law enforcement.
- Report writing proficiency.
- Able to operate CCTV camera systems.
- Able to adjust work hours and days when needed, especially during high season.
- Willingness to work nights and weekends when needed.
- Ability to operate electric self-propelled hand truck and electric self-propelled stair climbing hand truck when needed.
- Hospitality experienced preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of: Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Surface Go 4, Windows and Mac operating systems, Vigilant CMS, QTrak, and Relay Pro.
- Experienced in managing emergencies.
