The Jefferson Hotel in Washington DC is seeking an Overnight Security Officer to join our award-winning team. You will help safeguard guests and property, monitor cameras, and respond to incidents during overnight shifts.

Responsibilities include assisting guests with room access, conducting safety inspections, reporting incidents, and maintaining confidentiality. Must have security experience, be able to obtain a Special Police Officer license, and hold CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualificações

• Experience in security roles, preferably in luxury hotel operations.
• Ability to obtain a Special Police Officer license.
• Valid CPR and First Aid Training.
• Comfort working overnights, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain knowledge of security equipment, policies, and procedures.
• Assist guests with room access and emergency response tasks.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
• Respond to incidents and coordinate with EMS when needed.
• Prepare confidential incident reports.
• Support Front Office and Engineering as needed.

The Jefferson in Washington D.C. is currently recruiting for an Overnight Security Officer to join our highly acclaimed and award winning team.

The Jefferson, Washington D.C. has been named one of the top hotels in Washington, D.C. and presents this exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in growing within a setting that finds delight in the details that take our guests experience beyond expectation.

Responsibilities:

• Knowledgeable of all security equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations.
• Assist guests with room access, conducting/ assisting with emergency response drills, daily physical hazard/safety inspections, investigations, and key control audit.
• Monitor hotel surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
• Assist guests and employees during emergency situations.
• Respond to all accidents, contacting EMS or administer First Aid/CPR as required.
• Gather information to complete reports while maintaining confidentiality.
• Defuse disturbances in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
• Provide additional assistance in areas outside of traditional security roll to include Front Office Operations and Engineering.

Qualifications:

• Availability to work overnight.
• Previous relevant Security experience, preferably in a luxury hotel.
• Ability to obtain a license as a Special Police Officer.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with guests, visitors, and hotel staff.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Valid certification in CPR and First Aid Training.
• Position requires the ability to walk stairs, climb ladders, and conduct security patrols. The ability to lift, bend, push and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Strong guest service experience.
