Job summary

Blackwell Professional Support Services, Inc. is seeking a Patrol Security Officer in St. Louis, MO.

You will conduct foot and vehicle patrols, oversee property security, assist residents and visitors with high level service, and coordinate with vendors. Reports to the Security Supervisor or District Manager. Responsibilities include monitoring doors, windows, cameras, and alarms; enforcing policies; and providing detailed security reports.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age
• Must hold a current St. Louis County Security License or the ability to obtain one
• Must hold an active Missouri or Illinois driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Minimum of 1 year of security experience preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Superior organizational, follow-up, and troubleshooting skills
• Computer literacy with a focus on reporting

Responsibilities

• Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure security
• Perform patrols in vehicle, on foot, and in non-climate areas
• Monitor buildings and report unauthorized or suspicious activities
• Educate individuals on property policies
• Respond to emergencies per property policies
• Monitor parking areas and enforce rules
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, vendors, visitors
• Maintain communication and reporting
• Monitor cameras, alarm systems, and software
• Prepare detailed security incident reports (SOR)
• Carry out additional property duties as required
• Lead industry compensation initiatives
• Maintain required documentation and reporting
