Archon Protection, Inc. in Newbury Park, CA is seeking an Entry Level Security Officer. Schedule is Thursday through Sunday, 8PM to 3:25AM, with overnight shifts required. Pay range is $17 per hour to $19 per hour.

Local candidates only. You will be responsible for maintaining safety in residential communities or commercial facilities. As a Security Guard, you will conduct patrols, write reports, enforce rules, secure areas, perform GPS checks, and document incidents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Guard card issued by BSIS or ability to obtain one.
• Able to pass background check.
• Must be physically able to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine foot patrols of client locations to deter activity and disturbances.
• Write detailed reports based on observations and incidents.
• Enforce community or facility rules per client requests.
• Secure site amenity areas and conduct parking enforcement as needed.
• Perform GPS checks and take clear notes of occurrences.
• Report any suspicious activity to authorities and protect client property.

Job description

Archon Protection is hiring for aEntry Level Security Officer position in the Newbury Park area.

Schedule: Thursday through Sunday, 8PM to 3:25AM

Pay range: $17 per hour to $19 per hour

Overnight shifts are required.

As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of residential communities or commercial facilities. Responsibilities are subject to change and are not limited or guaranteed to include the following:

• Conducting routine and regular foot patrols of the client location deterring suspicious activity and disturbances.
• Writing detailed reports based on observations, incidents, violations, and maintenance issues.
• Enforcing community or facilities rules and regulations per client request.
• Securing site amenity areas.
• Conducting parking enforcement via parking violation notices and/or towing vehicles.
• Performing GPS checks.
• Take accurate and thorough notes of any unusual occurrences.
• Reporting in detail any suspicious incidents to the appropriate authorities.
• Protecting the company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment at all times.

This role requires high attention to detail, professionalism, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.

Extensive training will be provided by a Security Supervisor.

Basic Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old (BPC Section 7582.8)
• Possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid California Guard Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). Click Here to inquire about obtaining your Guard Card and LiveScan fingerprints.
• Undergo a criminal history background check through the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) (BPC Sections 7581 and 7583.9)
• Basic reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Must be physically fit, able to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness. Good judgement and problem-solving skills. Professional demeanor and appearance. Reliable and punctual.
