Archon Protection, Inc. is hiring an Entry Level Security Officer in the Newbury Park area. The role runs Thursday through Sunday, 8PM to 3:25AM, with a pay range of $17 to $19 per hour. Overnight shifts are required and extensive training will be provided by a Security Supervisor.

Responsibilities include patrolling, reporting, enforcing rules, and ensuring safety across residential communities or commercial facilities in Ventura County and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and meet California security requirements.
• Possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain a California BSIS Guard Card.
• Undergo a criminal history background check (DOJ/FBI).
• Basic reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine foot patrols of client locations to deter issues.
• Write detailed incident and maintenance reports based on observations.
• Enforce community or facility rules as requested by the client.
• Secure site amenity areas and perform parking enforcement as needed.
• Conduct GPS checks and take thorough notes of unusual occurrences.
• Report suspicious incidents to authorities and protect property.
