Job summary

The Beverly Hills Hotel, part of Dorchester Collection, is seeking an Overnight Security Officer to safeguard guests and property with vigilance and a guest-first mindset.

You will patrol, monitor cameras, assist guests with security needs, and coordinate with hotel teams to maintain exceptional service and safety standards across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of security officer experience.
• CPR/First-Aid certification required.
• Hotel, Bar and/or Restaurant security experience preferred.
• A valid State Guard Card is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property and monitoring surveillance equipment.
• Communicate clearly with guests and staff to ensure the best experience.
• Escort guests for special occasions and assist with loss prevention as needed.
• Report and help correct issues to maintain luxury standards across hotel departments.

As a Overnight Security Officer at The Beverly Hills Hotel, your compensation will be $33.70 per hour.

What you'll do

A day in the life of our Overnight Security Officer… it demands high levels of energy and responsibility in order to keep up. They need consistency even though the days are never alike; and passion to tackle daily adventures. Listing all of the tasks that our Overnight Security Officer accomplish would be lengthy but the list below is essential to know.

• Our Overnight Security Officers are responsible for securing premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry during their day. This will include conducting fire and safety patrols on all shifts.
• Clearly and pleasurably communicate with guests, visitors, management and team to their understanding, both in person and on the telephone all to ensure our guests receives nothing but the best experience.
• Sometimes our guests have special requests involving loss prevention, personal escorting from and to the hotel rooms on special occasions such as weddings. Most of these requests are fulfilled by our Overnight Security Officer.
• Our hotels are truly luxury hotels. This requires preventing and correcting the imperfections and blemishes that tend to come up. Our Overnight Security Officers are relied upon to report these and work with several other positions to correct.
• Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. Our Overnight Security Officermust communicate with other departments and extended hotel team in order to ensure the alignment remains.

The items shared are essential. However, to ensure consistency, our Overnight Security Officers are provided with specifics on how we care for their department and our hotel. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk, or sit for long periods of time up to 8 hours, frequent use of computer keyboard and computer mouse, to reach and manipulate objects, tools or controls. Our Security Officer must be able to physically walk the property checking in with all departments. Our Security Officer must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Our Security Officer must be able to quickly run to all emergency situations including Fire and Medical calls. Our Security Officer must be able to perform CPR kneeling and conducting chest compressions for a long period of time as necessary. Security Officer must be able to physically defend themselves in a physical altercation with a suspect in regards to the rules of engagement.The physical ability to work indoors and outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions.

What you'll bring

• A minimum of 3 years ofSecurity Officer or relevant work experience is required for this role.
• Must possess and maintain a CPR/First-Aid certification.
• Hotel, Bar and/or Restaurant experience is preferred.
• A Valid State Guard Card is a plus.
