Job description

Route 66 is looking for a Security Officer to join our team. The Security Officer is responsible for protecting staff, clientele, and property from criminal activity or trespassing.

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent observational abilities, and previous surveillance experience, preferably in law enforcement. The person should remain calm under pressure, exhibit patience, and have a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

1. Surveillance - Patrol grounds or buildings, review surveillance footage, monitor crowds, verify entry identification, ensure doors, windows, and gates are secure, and escort individuals as needed.
2. Investigation - Respond to suspicious activity alerts, secure environments, report to authorities, and perform related duties.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Security guard training certification preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or sit for long periods, and detain individuals if necessary
• Reliable and punctual
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
• Strong teamwork skills

Schedule:

• 10-hour shifts, 4 days/week (Fri-Mon)
• Overnight shifts
• Weekends as needed

Pay: $20.00-$22.00/hour DOE
