Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Security Support in Rochester, NY to oversee security operations across multiple facilities, respond to alarms, and train contract staff. The role requires guiding security policies and ensuring compliance with DOD/NISPOM standards.

The position emphasizes incident response, reporting, and maintaining security documentation, with opportunities to support a small team and manage priorities in a high-sensitivity environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 8 years of relevant experience, or 2 years post-secondary with 4 years of related experience.
• Current U.S. Government SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct support and assistance with access control, visitor management, asset movement, and day-to-day execution of the personnel security program, meeting NISPOM requirements, SOC activities, and general security of Rochester facilities.
• Maintains DOD records, NDAs, PQS booklets and security metrics.
• Assists in creating content related to security awareness, training, and education program.
• Identifies improvements and updates to processes to improve efficiency and service to security customers.
• Advise employees, contractors and management on security policies and enforce procedures.
• Conducts interior walking tours and reports safety and security findings.
• Responds to emergencies, intrusion alarms and secure lab alarms.
• Spot checks and trains contract security officers on post orders and policies.
• Provides incident, shift, and training reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
