Job summary

InterContinental Seattle Bellevue, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, seeks a Security Officer to uphold guest safety and protect the property. The role focuses on proactive patrols, incident reporting, and delivering calm, professional service to guests and staff.

You will operate within a luxury hotel environment, collaborating across departments, supporting emergencies, and maintaining a welcoming, safe atmosphere for all. Evening, night, and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior hospitality/purchasing experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Two years security or police experience, preferably with exposure to the hotel environment.
• Two years of college in safety, security or hospitality related discipline.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the safety policies and procedures of the property and Benchmark, while maintaining professionalism and teamwork.
• Maintain the highest degree of security visibility and complete patrols on a timely schedule.
• Assist in emergencies and provide support to guests and associates as needed.
• Complete all Daily Activity and Incident Reports.
• Support other departments as determined by the supervisor to ensure guest satisfaction.
