Job summary

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. seeks an Overnight Security Officer to patrol property, enforce safety policies, and respond to incidents while delivering hospitality to guests and team members.

You will monitor access, assist during emergencies, and maintain security operations in a luxury hotel environment. Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, 21+ years old, and CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or ability to obtain).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior security, loss prevention, military, or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Luxury hotel or resort experience strongly preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required (or ability to obtain).
• Alcohol Awareness certification required (or ability to obtain).
• Any required state or local security licenses must be obtained and maintained.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hotel property, interior and exterior, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and laws.
• Maintain fixed posts or mobile patrols to monitor activity and prevent theft or unsafe behavior.
• Enforce safety and security procedures to protect guests, residents, visitors and staff.
• Monitor access to restricted areas including back-of-house spaces.
• Respond to incidents, assess situations, and communicate status updates to management.
• Perform crowd control and scene management during incidents, events, or emergencies.
• Gather information related to incidents and prepare detailed reports.
• Execute Lost & Found procedures in accordance with standards.
• Escort guests, staff and valuables as needed using discreet routes.
• Assist with emergency evacuations and life safety procedures.
