Job summary

Wonderful Orchards in California is seeking a Safety & Security Specialist to protect employees, property, equipment, and crops across fields, shops, warehouses, and ranches. This overnight role may require weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational needs.

You will conduct patrols, monitor for intrusion and theft, respond to incidents, document observations, and coordinate with local authorities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred in Occupational Health, Business Administration, Human Resources, Criminal Justice, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in safety, security, law enforcement, military, loss prevention, agriculture, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working in agricultural, field, warehouse, shop, or rural property environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled patrols of orchards, ranches, equipment yards, warehouses, shops, and facilities to prevent or detect intrusion and protect property.
• Monitor for unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, theft, vandalism, and safety concerns.
• Assist with investigations involving property loss, safety incidents, or suspicious activity; coordinate with local law enforcement when needed.
• Respond to emergencies including accidents, injuries, fires, and security concerns; transport injured employees as directed.
• Document patrols, observations, investigations, incidents, and corrective actions in reports.
• Promote compliance with safety policies and environmental requirements; coach staff on procedures.
