Job summary

Thalia Gardens Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to oversee clinical and administrative nursing functions in a nursing home setting. The role ensures high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and efficient service coordination.

The position leads RNs, LPNs, and CNAs on overnight shifts, providing guidance and clinical support while maintaining comprehensive documentation and effective inter-team communication.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Virginia.
• BSN preferred.
• 2–3 years of nursing experience in long-term care or geriatric setting.
• Supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the delivery of nursing care to ensure quality, safety, and resident dignity.
• Conduct rounds to assess resident conditions and address concerns promptly.
• Coordinate and supervise implementation of resident care plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate appropriate care and documentation.
• Supervise and support nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Provide guidance, direction, and clinical support as needed.
• Participate in staff evaluations and ongoing development.
• Ensure proper shift hand-offs, documentation and communication between teams.
