Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Rochester is seeking a part-time residential role for weekend overnight shifts to support a safe, therapeutic living environment for residents. You will manage medications per protocol and assist with daily program operations.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a valid NYS driver’s license, and at least two years in human services or related fields. This is a meaningful, collaborative role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid and clean NYS Driver’s License.
• Two years of experience in the human services field, crisis intervention, residential setting, or emergency services.
• Knowledge of homeless client issues preferred.
• A relevant combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Monitors residents to assure a safe therapeutic environment.
• Cover nonclinical psychoeducational groups as needed.
• Observes peer-led activities.
• Provides transportation when needed.
• Conducts room and personal belonging searches to ensure safety.
• Conducts urine toxicology screens as scheduled or as needed.
• Provides conflict management to residents as needed.
• Supervises meals by clients and maintains sanitation standards.
• Maintains cleanliness of the facility and assigns chores.
• Debriefs information to incoming employees during shift exchange.
• Carries out emergency procedures and notifies Residence Manager.
• Conducts monthly fire drills and engages security system.
• Provides medication observation and monitoring in absence of LPN.
• Completes and maintains documentation per regulatory standards.
• Enters shift notes and completes group notes in the electronic record.
• Completes incident reports as needed.
• Supports agency mission and core competencies in daily work.
