Job summary

CHR is seeking a Residential Aide for an Oak Street location in Willimantic. The role is part-time, overnight (Saturday-Sunday, 12:00am-8:00am), in a 10-bed transitional living program for adults with substance use disorders.

The position includes monitoring medications, facilitating skill-building, and supporting residents’ treatment plans. Qualification requirements include a high school diploma, human services experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience in human services with responsible work history.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• CPR & First Aid certification required or must obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the physical environment and program standards per CHR and licensing requirements.
• Monitors residents' medications in accordance with policy.
• Coordinates day-to-day communications with staff about events and needs.
• Teaches rehab basics: nutrition, healthy living, meal prep, hygiene, budgeting, home care skills.
• Assists/Manages administrative tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Facilitates educational and skill-building groups per treatment plan.
• Collaborates with providers and families as needed.
• Assists residents with medical and psychiatric needs.
• Keeps documentation in line with agency standards.
• Participates in staff meetings, trainings, and related duties.
