Job summary

VOAMASS is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist to assist men in community-based residences, supporting well-being and recovery within a trauma-informed harm reduction framework. You will help with daily living skills, lead educational and recreational activities, and accompany residents to appointments.

The role includes overnight hours (Tue–Sat, 11pm–7am) at $21/hour, plus a $500 sign-on bonus. Candidates should have 1+ year of direct care experience and be committed to compassionate,

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of direct care experience.
• Maintain professional boundaries.
• Passion for helping individuals in recovery.
• Related work or personal recovery experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Provide internal security and conduct regular checks.
• Support clients in meeting program expectations and provide crisis counseling.
• Assist with intake, paperwork, and discharge preparation.
• Lead informal counseling and group activities as needed.
• Manage household tasks and supervise medication administration.
• Document shift summaries and report observations.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings.
