Job summary

The Ellen O'Brien Gaiser Addiction Center in Pennsylvania is seeking a part-time Overnight Recovery Assistant to support the Butler campus inpatient program. This entry-level role includes a training and orientation program to introduce new hires to daily operations and to help residents on their path to recovery.

Shifts run 11:00pm–7:00am Fri, Sat, Mon, Tue; candidate must be flexible and capable of covering additional shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior residential aide experience preferred.
• Must be energetic and able to multitask.
• Must be responsible, reliable, and able to act ethically without direct supervision.
• Demonstrate the ability to respond to crisis situations and make good decisions under stress.
• Must be able to work all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Review shift change reports and update client logbooks.
• Transport clients in Center vehicles.
• Food preparation for clients.
• Intake and log client belongings upon arrival.
• Monitor clients on and off the premises during shift.
• Administer testing to clients upon admission as directed by nurse/counselor.
• Monitor and log client medication usage per policy.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
