Job summary

Bon Secours Southside Medical Center seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging under the direction of a licensed practitioner, ensuring safety and high-quality images in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include ARRT Certification in Diagnostic Radiology and state licensure (preferred). The role uses EPIC/EHR systems and PACS, with opportunities for growth within the Bon Secours network. Friday and Saturday overnight shifts 7p-7a are available.

Qualifications

• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology (required)
• State licensure (preferred)
• BLS Basic Life Support required at hire for certain locations
• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred)
• Experience with Radiology Information System (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and ensure documentation is complete.
• Position patient to optimize imaging while ensuring comfort.
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Operate imaging equipment to perform procedures.
• Verify informed consent and document procedures.
• Assist licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and radiography procedures.
• Perform required timeouts and follow policy.
