Job summary

HealthPort in Princess Anne, MD is seeking a Psychiatric Residential Specialist to help residents with daily living activities and share responsibility for all clients in the house. The position involves 3-4 overnight shifts, typically from 4 pm to 8 am, with a 3- or 4-day work week.

You will support residents' healthcare needs, maintain a safe, clean environment, model respectful behavior, and document notes and shift logs in the EHR while upholding HIPAA and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience with behavioral health disorders preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Ability to work collaboratively and support recovery-oriented care.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support residential clients in all aspects of daily living skills.
• Support member’s healthcare needs and follow-up care.
• Maintain the residence providing a safe and clean environment.
• Positive role modeling and ensuring communication is respectful and culturally appropriate.
• Complete schedules, notes, and shift logs in the EHR.
• Maintain total confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA law, CARF accreditation standards and Maryland State Regulations
