Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a dependable Program Assistant On Duty to support overnight operations in a residential rehabilitation setting. This role ensures safety, assists beneficiaries, and maintains orderly program conditions during the 11:00 PM–7:00 AM shift.

The position offers a part-time schedule of 25 hours per week, at $17.45 per hour, with duties spanning safety, resident assistance, record-keeping, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Able to work overnight shifts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle emergencies calmly and professionally.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, security, and order during overnight shifts.
• Monitor beneficiary movement, curfews, and pass schedules; respond to incidents.
• Assist with admissions, intake procedures and daily program operations.
• Oversee medication call procedures and documentation.
• Complete daily reports and electronic records.
• Transport beneficiaries when assigned and approved.
