Job Summary

Our Overnight Stock Clerks work behind the scenes to keep our store shelves fully stocked and organized for the next day’s guests. They work overnight shifts when the store is closed to customers, allowing for a calm, structured environment. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and enjoy working independently. This position offers an opportunity to join a supportive team and contribute to the smooth operation of our store.

Job Description

• Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
• Experience Desired: Prior experience in Grocery or related industry
• Education: No High School diploma required
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
• Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities

• Stock, rotate, block, and maintain products on shelves, including knowledge of code dating.
• Provide excellent customer service and greet customers warmly.
• Follow procedures to meet out-of-stock percentage goals.
• Assist with inventory management, accounts receivable, and ordering functions.
• Monitor product expiration dates.
• Prioritize safety for team members, guests, and products.
• Handle products and equipment in accordance with food safety and safety guidelines.
• Set up displays on the sales floor.
• Unload and store food items in prep areas and coolers.
• Unload products from trucks and break down pallets.
• Load flats with products for the sales floor and hand-stack as needed.
• Help maintain backroom efficiency by unloading deliveries.
• Receive and process vendor products.
• Ensure vendors deliver products during scheduled times and manage backroom vendor levels.
• Prepare products for stocking, including case opening, loading, and pricing if necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tables, utensils, and floors.
• Keep the backroom and receiving areas organized and clutter-free.
• Make cardboard bales using the bailer and paper crusher.
• Show willingness to learn, understand, and communicate, including tasting and experiencing new products.
• Familiarize yourself with store products to assist customers with questions and suggestions.
