Job Summary

Our Overnight Stock Clerks work behind the scenes to keep our store shelves fully stocked and organized for the next day’s guests. You will work overnight shifts when the store is closed to customers, allowing you to concentrate on your tasks in a calm, structured setting. If you are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and enjoy working independently, this position offers an opportunity to join a supportive team and play a critical role in our store's smooth operation.

Job Description

  • Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
  • Experience Desired: Prior experience in Grocery or related industry
  • Education Desired: No High School diploma required
  • Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
  • Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age


Job Responsibilities

  • Stock, rotate, block, and maintain product on shelves; knowledge of code dating is preferred.
  • Provide exemplary customer service and greet customers in a friendly manner.
  • Follow proper procedures to meet out-of-stock percentage goals.
  • Assist store leadership with inventory management, accounts receivable, and ordering functions.
  • Monitor expiration dates of products.
  • Maintain safety as the top priority for team members, guests, and products.
  • Handle products and equipment properly in accordance with food safety and safety guidelines.
  • Set up displays on the sales floor.
  • Unload and store food items in prep areas and coolers.
  • Unload products from trucks and break down pallets.
  • Load flats with proper products to be taken to the floor and hand stack.
  • Assist in maintaining back room efficiency by unloading deliveries.
  • Receive and process all vendor products.
  • Ensure vendors deliver products to the receiving area during established times and monitor the number of vendors in the backroom to prevent overcrowding.
  • Prepare products for stocking by unpacking pallets, pricing, and loading onto flats if necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tables, utensils, and floors.
  • Keep the backroom and receiving areas organized and clutter-free.
  • Create cardboard bales using a bailer and paper crusher.
  • Show willingness to learn, understand, and communicate, including tasting and experiencing new products.
  • Familiarize yourself with store products to answer questions and make suggestions to customers.
  • Participate actively in promoting an environment of diversity, inclusion, and respect for team members, customers, vendors, and the community.
