Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) for a 3rd shift onsite role in Wisconsin, with a 9:30 PM–6:00 AM schedule and Monday–Friday availability.

You will support medication adherence, process prescriptions, perform calculations, manage inventory, and collaborate with pharmacists to ensure patient care.

Requirements include national CPhT certification, state registration, 1+ year experience, a high school diploma, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or equivalent.
• Registered with the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and enter prescriptions accurately.
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists and/or clinicians as appropriate.
• Label and fill prescriptions for pharmacist verification.
• Perform pharmaceutical calculations.
• Identify medications requiring special storage or handling, including refrigerated and hazardous medications.
• Assemble supplies required for medication administration.
• Prepare medications for delivery to patients and departments.
• Answer, resolve, and triage inbound inquiries.
• Conduct outbound therapy and medication adherence check-ins.
• Secure refill prescriptions.
• Resolve insurance-related issues and assist patients with financial assistance programs.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory, including ordering and receiving medications.
• Communicate directly with patients to support medication awareness and adherence.
• Input data, adjudicate test claims, and prepare follow-up action plans.
• Manage, organize, and update information within database applications.
• Identify trends, solve operational challenges, and recommend process improvements.
• Participate actively in quality and process improvement initiatives.
• Partner effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
