Responsibilities

• Answer facility drug-related questions and direct to appropriate staff.
• Obtain emergency orders by contacting prescribers by phone.
• Conduct DURs and review medication lists.
• Assist technicians with first line phone answering to meet service levels.
• Participate in quality assurance programs and assess call recordings.
• Provide pharmacist oversight for night shift technicians and act as a positive representative.
• Assist in training staff as appropriate.
