Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center in Los Angeles is seeking an overnight Paraprofessional Counselor to support adults with chronic mental health disorders in a residential program. You will supervise clients, document activities, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and treatment progress.

The role operates on a non-exempt, overnight schedule from Wednesday to Sunday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, and reports to the Residential Manager in a union setting.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with behavioral health needs.
• Ability to monitor clients and document shift activities accurately.
• Familiarity with hospital or residential treatment procedures is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Maintain team communication to cover all tasks.
• Facilitate client transportation when needed.
• Complete sign-in/out procedures and documentation.
• Respond to calls in evenings and weekends.
• Conduct hourly security checks.
• Perform client rounds and document findings.
• Support ADLs and daily living activities.
• Monitor medications and ensure records.
• Report safety hazards to supervisor.
• Participate in shift exchanges and trainings.
