Job summary

Shearer’s Foods in Burlington, IA is seeking an Operations Supervisor Overnight to lead the Cremes department, 11pm–7am, driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a Lean environment.

You will direct hourly employees, enforce sanitation rules, schedule work, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production goals while maintaining regulatory compliance and strong employee relations.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in a related business or technical field or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in production management or supervision, preferably in food processing.

Responsibilities

• Directs employees and plant floor activities to achieve high-quality product.
• Enforces safety and sanitation rules to maintain a safe workplace.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state and company regulatory requirements.
• Maintains positive employee relations and trains hourly personnel.
• Tracks performance and attendance to meet metrics and resolve issues.
• Uses metrics to improve work processes and document regulatory compliance.
• Collaborates with other supervisors and cross-functional teams to coordinate operations.
• Plans and establishes work schedules.
