Job summary

Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital is hiring a Nurse Assistant for a full-time midnight shift (7pm–7:30am), 36 hours per week. The role supports RN-led patient care and participates in ongoing education within a historic community hospital setting in the Detroit River area.

Qualified applicants include high school graduates, NA program graduates or nursing students with Fundamentals of Nursing, or equivalent experience. CNA certification preferred and patient-centered care is emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program or current nursing student with nursing fundamentals completed.
• Foreign trained and licensed RN without Michigan license or Medical Assistant with experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN in providing patient care and ensuring safety and comfort.
• Provide input to help plan and implement patient care.
• Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
• Participate in ongoing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Uphold department standards in all interactions.
