AdventHealth in Wesley Chapel, FL, is seeking an experienced radiology professional for night shift duties. The role involves imaging across CT/MRI/X-ray, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have 3+ years in radiology with additional modalities, BLS certification, and strong patient communication and teamwork skills. The position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and adherence to imaging protocols.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in radiology with a year or more in additional modalities.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures
• Strong customer service and safety awareness in imaging environments

Responsibilities

• Shift: Monday-Thursday 2200-0630.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and well-stocked room; QA on scanners; manage waste.
• Reviews images for accuracy; repeats as needed for best result.
• Uses the computer system for ordering, changing, and canceling exams; ensures orders match exams.
• Participates in employee satisfaction and process improvement projects and teams.
• Attends department and mandatory meetings with a positive attitude.
• Performs waived and non-waived Point of Care Testing with proper competency.
• Educates patients about exams; uses imaging protocols across CT, MRI, X-Ray, mammography, ultrasound, Dexa.
• Operates imaging equipment safely and adheres to infection control standards.
• Completes all exams in a timely manner and maintains workflow.

Job Description:

• Shift: Monday-Thursday 2200-0630

• Maintains a clean, organized, and well-stocked room, performing quality assurance on scanners and handling pharmaceutical waste according to training.

• Reviews all images for accuracy and quality, repeating images as necessary for the best possible result.

• Uses the computer system for ordering, changing, and canceling exams, ensuring orders match exams.

• Participates in employee satisfaction and customer service initiatives, contributing to process improvement projects and teams.

• Attends department and mandatory meetings with a positive attitude, staying informed about meeting content.

• Performs waived and non-waived Point of Care Testing, ensuring approved competency and documented proof at the time of training.

• Complies with appropriate standards and directives if registered in sonography.

• Completes all exams in a timely manner, maintaining workflow and minimizing empty table time.

• Performs imaging procedures using AdventHealth CT, MRI, X-Ray, mammography, ultrasound, or Dexa protocols, ensuring proper patient identification and screening for contrast allergies. Educates patients about their exams and follow through with communication and discharge after completing exams. Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, adapting protocols for patients of all ages and practicing infection control standards.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to follow basic radiation safety concepts of time, shielding and distance to keep exposure levels as low as reasonably achievable for patients and staff. [Required]

• Ability to complete exams in an acceptable time frame to meet TAT goals. [Required]

• Ability to assess, start and confirm appropriate placement of IV’s for use in CT and MR studies. [Required]

• The ability to assess, explain and perform all studies that a registry is held in on all patients of all ages. [Required]
