Job summary

Abraxas Youth and Family Services in Woodridge, IL is seeking an Overnight Monitor for a full-time night shift (11pm–7am). You will stay alert during sleeping hours, help with bed and bath routines, conduct nightly safety checks, and screen patients as part of a compassionate care team.

No experience is required for many positions and paid training is provided. DailyPay, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), PTO, and other benefits support a stable full-time opportunity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Valid Driver's License.
• TB and drug testing medical exam may be required.
• Background checks compliant with federal and state laws.
• Pre-employment checks including references and driving records.
• Ability to work with computers and required software.

Responsibilities

• Remains alert and responsive to the unit and patients during sleeping hours.
• Assists evening staff with bed & bath routines.
• Conducts outside perimeter checks.
• Conducts nightly safety checks.
• Conducts bed/body checks at not less than 15-minute intervals.
• Screens patients and their belongings.
• Records inappropriate behaviors of patients.
• Documents unsafe conditions and notifies appropriate people.
• Utilizes crisis intervention techniques and intervenes to prevent conflict.

What You’ll Do

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED

Other Qualifications:

• At least twenty-one (21) years of age
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Physical exam that includes TB and drug testing.
• Must pass both federal and state background checks which screen for crimes including, but not limited to drug related crimes, violent crimes, sexual abuse, domestic violence, child abuse, and repeated misdemeanors.
• Satisfactory completion of background screening and applicable pre-employment checks, including but not limited to employment and/or personal reference and driving records.
• Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

• Full-Time
• 11pm to 7am
