Abraxas Youth and Family Services in South Mountain, PA is seeking a Night Shift Supervisor to ensure safety and support for residents. You will oversee client schedules, supervise staff, and implement daily systems.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree with youth experience or an Associate’s degree with additional years of work with children, plus 21+, valid driver’s license, and background checks. This role offers growth in a mission-driven organization.

Competenze

• Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree and one year work experience with children.
• Education and Experience Required: Associate’s degree or 60 credit hours with three years work experience with children.
• At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Valid Driver's License.
• TB and drug screening required.
• Background checks as per policy.
• Ability to work with computers and department software.

• Ensure the safety and security of the facility.
• Oversee the implementation of the clients’ schedule.
• Develop and implement systems to organize and monitor work activities.
• Conduct supervisory conferences and performance evaluations with employees, document outcomes.
• Implement progressive discipline according to policy.

What You’ll Do

As a Night Shift Supervisor, you will:

• Ensure the safety and security of the facility
• Oversee the implementation of the clients’ schedule
• Develop and implement systems to organize and monitor work activities
• Conduct effective supervisory conferences and performance evaluations with employees, document the content of such meetings, and provide feedback
• Implement progressive discipline when needed according to the applicable policy
• Write professional development plans in conjunction with employees to aid in their training and development
• Facilitate new employee on-the-job orientation
• Schedule employee training to ensure that all mandatory training requirements are met
• Conduct one “full facility” headcount each night
• Support the Abraxas philosophy and mission and promotes the Seven Key Principles of care
• Demonstrate appropriate use of Safe Crisis Management techniques and skills

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree and one year work experience with children

OR

• Associate’s degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and three years work experience with children

Other Qualifications:

• At least twenty-one (21) years of age
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Physical exam that includes TB and drug testing.
• Must pass both federal and state background checks which screen for crimes including, but not limited to drug related crimes, violent crimes, sexual abuse, domestic violence, child abuse, and repeated misdemeanors.
• Satisfactory completion of background screening and applicable pre-employment checks, including but not limited to employment and/or personal reference and driving records.
• Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
