Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with 5 years of progressive laboratory responsibility in support of pharmaceutical manufacturing or equivalent.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable of quality control testing methods, validation techniques and microbiology concepts.
• Able to interpret data scientifically using analytical skills in pharmaceutical applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Planning and organizational skills are necessary for primary responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, train, coach, counsel, manage and motivate staff.
• Supervise microbiology staff from Lab Tech II to Lead Scientist levels.
• Oversee divisions: Environmental Monitoring, Finished Products, Aseptic Mentor and Methods Validation (BFR Laboratory).
• Schedule daily activities and delegate to ensure timely objectives.
• Oversee training and qualification programs for department personnel.
• Maintain aseptic technique training and related topics across production.
• Develop and review SOPs; ensure training status compliance.
