High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency in Brockton, MA seeking a Mental Health Specialist for the 3rd shift. The role includes supervising patients, facilitating groups, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and supporting crisis intervention.

A high school diploma is required and a Bachelor's in health/human services is preferred. The position offers full-time/part-time status with a competitive pay range based on experience and education, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in health or human services preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health or related field preferred.
• Peer Certification or Recovery Coach training preferred, or willingness to complete training within six months of hire.
• CPR certification required or willingness to obtain on hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2 and related regulations.
• Facilitate groups and complete accurate group documentation.
• Monitor and supervise patients during meals, groups, lectures, and activities.
• Provide direct supervision of patients on the unit for safety and treatment goals.
• Assist with routine and emergency medical and psychiatric situations and safety checks.
• Support crisis intervention and de-escalation per training protocols.
• Serve as campus responder using walkie-talkie systems.
• Observe and communicate patient behaviors to nursing and clinical staff.
• Participate in rehabilitative, therapeutic, and recreational activities with patients.
• Assist with admissions and discharges and paperwork.
• Conduct room and bag searches per program policy.
• Maintain clean, safe, therapeutic environment; light housekeeping as directed.
• Attend required meetings, trainings, and conferences.
• Adhere to standard precautions and infection control.
• Demonstrate respect for patient rights, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Maintain required competencies and certifications.
• Perform all Mental Health Worker responsibilities as assigned.
