Job summary

Hickory Recovery is seeking a Medication Technician in Indianapolis, IN to support adults receiving care for substance use and behavioral health concerns. Under the supervision of licensed nurses, you will assist with safe medication administration, documentation, and client education.

You will help monitor health, collect specimens, maintain supplies, and ensure compliance with facility policies and HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a QMA program or EMT/Paramedic certification required.
• At least two years of medication aide experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and client confidentiality.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up and administer medications under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Document medication administration in the client’s medical record.
• Collect urine drug screens and other specimens per policy.
• Monitor vital signs and assist with minor treatments.
• Maintain medication carts and inventory, ensuring proper labeling.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
