Job summary

Trident Care is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician for the overnight 3rd shift. Under supervision, you will perform routine to complex laboratory tests across Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis and Coagulation, ensuring accurate results and adherence to QC procedures.

You will monitor instrument performance, enter results, review QC, and maintain inventory while complying with safety, HIPAA, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with MLT certification is required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in chemistry/hematology is preferred.
• Familiarity with automated instrumentation used for routine analysis is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs lab testing in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis and Coagulation.
• Checks QC of each test prior to reporting patient results.
• Enters test results and edits as needed.
• Reviews daily specimen management and ensures documentation compliance.
• Performs maintenance on instrumentation and ensures QC records are up to date.
• Ensures safety protocols are followed and complies with HIPAA and CIA requirements.
