Job summary

B&G Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the overnight shift at the Ankeny, Iowa plant. You will supervise maintenance and capital projects, manage staff schedules and training, and ensure safety and GMP compliance in a food production environment.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years total experience in maintenance/engineering, including supervisory roles, plus knowledge of Word/Excel; JD Edwards is a plus.

Qualifications

• Total Yrs. of Experience: 5 to 7 years.
• Six years in engineering and maintenance, with at least four in supervision.
• Experience in consumer food products and food packaging.
• Apprenticeship in one or more maintenance areas.
• Proficient with Word and Excel; JD Edwards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance and capital projects at the Ankeny Plant.
• Staff and schedule the maintenance department; provide training.
• Maintain positive labor relations with staff.
• Analyze production processes and methods.
• Recommend and implement cost-improving changes.
• Provide monthly maintenance and capital project updates to management.
• Maintain cost-effective preventive maintenance program.
• Ensure safety and GMP compliance in own area.
• Provide ongoing training and enforcement as appropriate.
• Report food safety and quality issues to authorized personnel.
• Enforce GMP rules and guidelines.
• Identify and communicate food safety issues; lead food safety initiatives.
