Job summary

Hyatt Regency Frisco is seeking an Overnight General Maintenance Engineer to provide overnight shift coverage and maintain the hotel’s building systems and equipment. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance, with a focus on safety and guest experience.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently during night hours, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
• Previous general maintenance experience required.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and workplace safety standards.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively prioritize tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical work that may include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and reaching for extended periods.
• Prior hotel, resort, or commercial building maintenance experience preferred. Trade certification or technical training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Overnight coverage for hotel maintenance, ensuring continuous operations.
• Maintain building systems and equipment across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general areas.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform repairs with safety and quality in mind.
• Coordinate with other departments to minimize disruption for guests.
