Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Line Haul Supervisor to oversee the line haul department, mentor drivers, and drive on-time delivery while maintaining safety standards and efficient operations. You will work with operations leaders to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals and utilize OD’s technology for shipment monitoring throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proven supervisory experience in a transportation environment is desirable.
• Working knowledge of AS400, Microsoft Office, DYMS and BLU systems; DOT regulations familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Mentor drivers and supervise the line haul team to meet safety and service goals.
• Coordinate with Operations Manager, Central Dispatch, and Service Center Manager to align daily operations with objectives.
• Monitor safety, tracking, and on-time delivery performance across service center lanes.
• Provide training and feedback to drivers on RPM, speed, and idling metrics.
• Operate OD systems to track shipment locations and communicate with stakeholders throughout shifts.
