Pure Paws Veterinary Care – Hell’s Kitchen in New York, NY is seeking an On-Call Overnight Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide expert patient care and exceptional client service. The role requires NY LVT licensure and a passion for improving pets' lives.

Shifts are overnight and on-call with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday coverage. On-call pay applies when not called in. Join a Fear-Free, cat-friendly practice serving Manhattan seven days a week.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification in New York State is required.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates
• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Overnight Licensed Veterinary Tech - On Call

Salary: $40- $44 per hour, based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule:On-call overnight coverage on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. If called in, Friday: 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM, Saturday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 AM, and Sunday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Shifts are on-call, and you will be contacted if coverage is needed during these times. A $50 on-call paymentwill be provided if you're not called in.
